The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. This is the time of year when our thoughts turn to remembering and honouring those who fell in the two World Wars - no matter what species.


Arthur the Warhorse has been given some poppies, some red some purple, to represent those people and animals who fell in the conflict. He is permanently mounted on a wall outside the Plough public house in Little London, Hampshire. Although he is visible all year round as a reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, he gains an added poignancy as the nights close in. At the setting of the sun...
